Tool Platform

Because of increasing complexity and functionality (technical + process + legal), there is a great demand for joint systems engineering and project management in many sectors. A higher level of interoperability is required to build chains of tools and workflows, so that more players can interact on all levels.

ARTEMIS Tool Platforms support sustainability and productivity by sharing research results, thereby contributing to cross-fertilisation and reusing technology results.

CESAR

Established October 30, 2012

The ARTEMIS CESAR project developed a Reference Technology Platform (RTP), the baseline of the Cooperation Reference Technology Platform (CRTP).

CRTP supports the development of safety-critical Embedded Intelligent Systems in the Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, Automation & Medical domains, coordinating activities under the EICOSE umbrella, applying to all application domains in which multiple cooperative research projects may contribute.

CRTP consists of a set of methods, processes and tools whereby the integration of these assets on various levels enables the efficient design and development of complex Embedded Intelligent Systems.

Benefits of implementing and using RTP:
  • better use of proven processes and available results, enhancing development success
  • integration of early R&D results, from in-house or external partners
  • simplified transfer or switch to new tools
