What, when and how
In the capital of Sweden – Stockholm – the sixth edition of the annual Co-summit took place! On 4 & 5 December the Scandic Infra Business Center was this year's the place to be to meet about 650-700 participants from industry, academia, public authorities and press from all over Europe. The Co-summit – organised by ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking on embedded systems and ITEA, the EUREKA Cluster on software-intensive systems and services – featured international keynote speakers, a high level panel discussion and an inspiring project exhibition including speakers corners fuelled by the project teams themselves.

This year's theme for this high level event was: 'Software innovation: boosting high-tech employment and industry'. The pan-European character of the ARTEMIS projects is evident in the average number of participating countries, an essential ingredient to achieving results that address the issues and challenges throughout Europe. In a global world, Embedded Systems are a crucial key enabling technology for Europe’s industrial and societal future which the ARTEMIS projects showcased on the spot.

Intelligence on the spot & a first-hand experience!
ARTEMIS put ‘Intelligence on the spot’ with the exhibition of projects emanating from the ARTEMIS Calls of 2008 to 2012, and whilst the Call 2013 is an accelerate cycle; ARTEMIS gave a glimpse of Call 2013 as well!

During the entire Co-summit, visitors were able to roam around the project exhibition and share insights with key representatives from more than 80 European leading R&D&I projects. Both ARTEMIS and ITEA projects and their results were showcased in terms of innovation, business impact and exploitation.

The Co-summit 2013 exhibition included a special focus area with projects related to the topic of 'Smart Cities'. With a dynamic community building set-up – interesting projects were exhibited, all ranging from large-scale consortia to smaller but still cross-disciplinary projects. For two days the Scandic Infra Center in Stockholm was the global village for all actors in embedded systems.
