EIT Manufacturing partners with Advanced Manufacturing International

EIT Manufacturing ASBL and Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc. (AMI) signed a network cooperation contract to confirm their mutual interest in business development and manufacturing innovation on a global level.

EIT Manufacturing is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. For this Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), which is already collaborating with several global initiatives (e.g., World Manufacturing Forum), it is the first network cooperation deal closed with a non-European entity.

Antoni Pijoan, Director of EIT Manufacturing Co-location Center West and responsible for the global outreach programme: “This agreement is fully in-line with our cross-KIC global outreach activities. Partnering with AMI brings us one step closer to fulfilling our vision: Global manufacturing innovation shall be led by Europe.” Global outreach contributes to EIT’s goal of being the leading European initiative that empowers innovators and entrepreneurs to develop world-class solutions to societal challenges and create growth and skilled jobs. Outside of Europe, EIT operates Hubs in Silicon Valley, Israel and China, each of them with specific areas of concentration. For Silicon Valley, the focus is on the European Green Deal and its liaison with the U.S. Green New Deal, as well as digital transformation solutions that could be applied with strong impact on manufacturing.

Dr. Stephan Biller, AMI CEO and National Academy Member: “AMI and EIT Manufacturing share many business synergies and are united in driving worldwide manufacturing innovation. In today’s manufacturing ecosystem even small to medium-sized companies are global in that they rely on global supply chains. Through this partnership, we will leverage the resources and expertise of both organizations to empower manufacturers of all sizes with the digital transformative technologies that are critical to success in the global economy.”
