ASAM addresses a uniform process of automatic architecture synthesis and application mapping for heterogeneous, multi-processor embedded systems, defining a new and unified design methodology, as well as related synthesis and prototyping tool-chains. For this, a highly efficient automatic synthesis flow will be created from the algorithmic specification down to its hardware/software implementation at the circuit/code level.
