Co-summit 2015

Project poster guidelines

For the development of the Project Poster, the structured template shown below will be used. A structured and consistent poster is important because it will help visitors (e.g. Public Authorities) to find the necessary information faster, as the posters in all booths have the same setup. The example poster below shows which input has to be provided. Your draft text input will be edited by our dedicated copywriter (at no cost). We will take care of the lay-out and will send the edited version to you for approval.

Note that the deadline for sending your poster input is 21 November 2014, after which we cannot guarantee the production of your posters.

Call 2010, 2011 & 2012

ARTEMIS-JU projects of Call 2010, Call 2011 and Call 2012 are invited to provide us with updates of the posters as presented at the Co-summit 2013 in Stockholm. These final PDF-files (version 2013) are also available on the ARTEMIS website on the project pages.

Call 2013

ARTEMIS-JU projects of Call 2013 projects are invited to deliver a draft text and an image proposal for the project poster to be designed.

Text, style & remarks

1. See it from the point of view of your target audience!

Think carefully what you want to achieve with your message and your poster.
>  Executive summary [30 words]
>  Relevance Call [45 words]
>  Market innovation [100 words]
>  Technical innovation [120 words]
>  Submit draft text in MS Word

2. Use an attractive design to add value to a clear message

Your poster should have a balanced layout between text and images. Use large, strong images that will attract people to your poster (illustrations, images, photos, diagrams, graphs, screenshots …). Write your text using short, vigorous formulation. Bullet points may be better than long sentences, but do not leave out essential verbs or essential prepositions (e.g. "to", "during" and "for")! Omit detail – you can always provide this verbally.

3. Make sure the layout of your poster is according to the ARTEMIS corporate identity

The provided templates are intended to make it easier for you to submit your poster. Please adhere to the styles and frames defined in the template and shown in the design guidelines documents!

Images & visuals

The poster has to be enlarged (84cm x 170cm), please submit the supporting images as large as possible
>  Image files preferable in formats: .eps / .ai / .jpg (large size). Other options are .png / .tiff
>  Preferably life-size (= the size you want the image to have in the A0 format): 150-300 dpi
>  If you send us smaller images, the resolution should be at least 300 dpi
>  The minimum requirements can best be illustrated by the following: a picture of 100mm x 100mm and 300 dpi, can be enlarged to
400mm x 400mm, without quality loss. Images (thumbnails) from the internet are usually unsuitable (too small & too low resolution)
>  High resolution logo of your project
>  High resolution logos of you and your partners

Add appealing picture(s) and keep in mind that we prefer NOT to show a visual of people with the product/application you are providing the technology for. As soon as an image of a product is published, the device is already ‘out-dated’. Therefore our advice is to choose images which go ‘back-to-the-basics’ (e.g. as used in the SRA 2011 Book, ARTEMIS Book of Successes).
